Here’s how you can use Carpool on the Ola App.
Open the Olacabs App and select ‘Carpool’

If you click on ‘Travel with Friends’, the app will take you to your contact list

Once your friends are added, click on  ‘Start Booking’ to  go to the booking screen

Looking for a Ride, follow these steps: 
Clicking on ‘Start Booking’ takes you to the next screen which will give you the options ‘I need a ride’ and ‘I’m Driving’, along with the Drop Location, choose ‘I Need A Ride’

Once selected, both you and your fellow carpooler will get the confirmation screen with details

Next, you’ll see the ‘Track Ride’ screen which’ll show you the location of your fellow carpooler

For your safety, once you board the car, the track ride screen also shows an SOS button, which can be used for safety purpose

Post the ride, you can rate your fellow Carpooler and you can also choose to ‘gift’ your fellow carpooler in the form of Lunch, Coffee or a Drink using Ola Money

 Want to share your ride with someone, follow these steps:
Clicking on ‘Start Booking’ takes you to the next screen which will give you the options ‘I need a ride’ and ‘I’m Driving’, along with the Drop Location, choose ‘I’m Driving’

When you do so for the first time, CarPool will ask you for your few details

Next up, enter your destination in ‘Drop Location’

Now, wait while the app finds you a fellow Carpooler

Once you get a fellow Carpooler, you’ll be shown their location and you can use the in-app navigation to reach their location.

If you don’t wish to continue, you may even cancel the ride.

    PAYTM | UBER Registration Issues & Solutions

     There are 3 ways to do this:

    Adding money via the Uber App:
    1. Access the menu in-app, tap on ‘Payment’ and select your Paytm Wallet
    2. Tap on ‘Add money’; you can either punch in an amount or simply tap one of the options to pay with your credit card, debit card or net-banking account
    Adding money online via Paytm.com:
    1. Login using your Paytm username and password
    2. Click on your name and go to your Paytm Cash Wallet
    3. Click the ‘Add money to Wallet’ button to pay with your credit card, debit card or net-banking account
    Adding money through the Paytm App:
    1. Download the Paytm app from your app store
    2. Login using your Paytm username and password
    3. On the bottom menu, tap on’ Wallet’ and then ‘Add Paytm Cash’
    4. Enter your top-up amount to pay with your credit card, debit card or net-banking account
    ‘I’m unable to book a ride without clearing my outstanding balance! What should I do?’

    All you need to do is top up your wallet, so that you have enough funds to clear your outstanding balance and take your next ride. To do this, click the ‘Person’ icon at the top of the screen and tap the ‘Payment’ tab:

    Why I can't see my Uber Free Rides - Uber Credit Disappeared ?

    Free Rides Missing
    Lately around 16-20 th May many Uber Riders reported that their Uber credit disappeared from App. Later to discover their Uber Credits was totally deducted by Uber without any notification .

    Well two of my close buddies who were victim of same tried to contact Uber via mail & tweet but either Uber didn't reply or they didn't solve the issue.

    Bottom-line : Uber Credits disappeared from their A/C for ever.
     
    The other issue is about Missing Free Rides. "Your Free Ride" option is not visible in many phones. You are not the only people who are facing this issue. Today morning I was unable to see any "Free Rides" in my Moto X Android app. But it has happened many times earlier too. As of evening I took this screen grab. You can see Number of Free Rides in my Uber Account .

    There are many people facing the same. Which could be due to any or some of of these following reasons.





    1. Uber is disqualifying / banning some accounts under fair usages policy. So if those accounts are banned due to "illegal" / "non fair usages" policy then referral credits/free rides earned by referring those account may deducted too. So if you have referred someone then your free rides may get deducted too . I know this is not Nice, But True.

    2. Uber launched free Promotional ride under uberhighroller, uberhero schemes, so if you have referred 10/25/50 people in those time period you must have got some Extra Promotional Rides which are not 90 Days Valid ( Like Regular Free rides ), but they are normally 30 days valid or upto some date specified during the scheme.




    3. There is backend issue in syncing. In Uber's mobile site you can't see Free Rides and so in Uber's Windows app. Best way is to tally with the mail you get once you receive any free ride.

    Below is the screenshot of mail I have, You can clearly see the Number of Free Rides to use. These are Non Promotional Rides with Validity of 90 days from the day credited.

    So lately many of us are not able to see the Uber Free Rides in Our Uber Mobile App specially in Android.

    If you know anyone using Windows or m.uber.com they may share the pain with you. They never could see free rides in their app.

    Keep referring and earning free rides ..

    From 17th April the Value of Free Ride has been revised to 300. So any new rides credited from Today onwards would be 300 but the old rides would be worth 600. U can see details by tapping on "Free Rides" section in your app.

    No invoice will be provided in any case, whether Ola Money or cash.

    If customer chooses to pay in cash, driver selects the cash option on his device, collects cash from the customer and ends the ride.

    On the other hand, if customer chooses to pay via Ola Money, then following steps are followed:

    Step 1 After the driver ends the trip, driver selects the Ola Money option in his device.

    Step 2 Then he enters the bill amount as per the meter and convenience charge (night charges extra)

    Step 3 Customer immediately receives a SMS or an automated call mentioning the bill amount and OTP.

    Step 4 Customer communicates the OTP to the driver. Driver enters the OTP and the amount gets deducted from Customer’s Ola Money wallet and receives a message and transferred to driver’s Ola Money account.

    Step 5 If customer has insufficient balance in his Ola Money account then the balance is deducted and collected by the driver in cash.

    Note: If OTP fails to generate on time or gets delayed then driver can regenerate the OTP again, this can be done any number of times. Because of network or any technical error if OTP is not generated then final bill amount should be paid in cash to the driver

    If you are wondering what an OTP is, it is the One Time Password that you receive as an SMS on your phone when you want to complete your Ola Money payment for your Auto ride. The OTP makes sure that your transaction is verified.

    LA is continuing to lead the way in passenger convenience by allowing ride-hailing companies to operate at LAX. Ride-hailing companies like Uber add more options for passengers, making it easier and more convenient to get to and from the airport. The agreement negotiated by the Board of Airport Commissioners protects nearby neighborhoods with technology that prevents drivers from parking on their streets while they wait for calls. This is great news for both passengers and neighborhoods.

    Uber follows its ride-hailing rival Lyft, which began servicing the airport Dec. 23.






    “We are bringing LAX passengers what they have been asking for — better access to reliable, convenient transportation from the airport.  Tomorrow, those options expand dramatically with the arrival of UberX,” said Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti in a statement.

    The entry of Uber into one of the nation’s busiest airports — LAX says 74.5 million people passed through last year — marks another breakthrough for the digital service that connects passengers with drivers using their own cars.
    “We are thrilled to help simplify and modernize the airport travel experience with the launch of UberX rideshare pick-ups at LAX. Angelenos asked — and Mayor Garcetti and city leaders listened — and now the millions of travellers who pass through LAX every year will have the option to push a button and get a safe, reliable and affordable ride when they land,” says Christopher Ballard, Uber’s general manager in Southern California.

    UberX, the cheaper everyday service provided by Uber, will drop off and pickup passengers on the airport’s upper level while Uber Black, SUV and Luxe will deposit and collect passengers on the lower level, the airport says. An extra $4 will be tacked on to fares that goes to the airport.

    Airport officials say that ride-hailing apps are already proving popular, based on the initial experience with Lyft. “Data from the first two weeks of the service show there were nearly 50,000 drop-off and pick-up trips,” says Deborah Flint, CEO of Los Angeles World Airports. “Travelers benefit, as well as the airport. Revenue generated will be invested to continue improving LAX.”

    The airport is in the middle of a $8.5 billion modernization program.
