Here’s how you can use Carpool on the Ola App.

Open the Olacabs App and select ‘Carpool’
If you click on ‘Travel with Friends’, the app will take you to your contact list
Once your friends are added, click on ‘Start Booking’ to go to the booking screen
Looking for a Ride, follow these steps:
Clicking on ‘Start Booking’ takes you to the next screen which will give you the options ‘I need a ride’ and ‘I’m Driving’, along with the Drop Location, choose ‘I Need A Ride’
Once selected, both you and your fellow carpooler will get the confirmation screen with details
Next, you’ll see the ‘Track Ride’ screen which’ll show you the location of your fellow carpooler
For your safety, once you board the car, the track ride screen also shows an SOS button, which can be used for safety purpose
Post the ride, you can rate your fellow Carpooler and you can also choose to ‘gift’ your fellow carpooler in the form of Lunch, Coffee or a Drink using Ola Money
Want to share your ride with someone, follow these steps:
Clicking on ‘Start Booking’ takes you to the next screen which will give you the options ‘I need a ride’ and ‘I’m Driving’, along with the Drop Location, choose ‘I’m Driving’
When you do so for the first time, CarPool will ask you for your few details
Next up, enter your destination in ‘Drop Location’
Now, wait while the app finds you a fellow Carpooler
Once you get a fellow Carpooler, you’ll be shown their location and you can use the in-app navigation to reach their location.
If you don’t wish to continue, you may even cancel the ride.
Upon completion of the ride, you can rate your fellow carpooler too!
